Position: Accounting Manager

Pay: $55-95K

 

*Strongly preferred – Candidate with CPA, and government contracts and MUST have strong ability to manage others well.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Overall responsibility for specific financial aspects of managing the operation, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, contingency planning, internal control and financial analysis and support of the Financial Shared Service organization. Overall responsibility for providing financial/business analysis to support the Financial Shared Services. Including but not limited to support for monthly financial memos, business reviews, product analysis, investment analysis, analysis of variances (from forecast, budget and prior year), strategic planning, special projects, working capital improvement analysis/actions and audit balance sheet review support.

 

JOB DUTIES:

- Active participant in business decisions, strategic, contingency and financial planning.

- Ensures the timely and accurate submission of Shared Services financial and management reports. Observe and enforce sound financial controls and procedures.

- Contribute to long range systems planning and implementation. (Key result: Continued improvement/efficiency in daily procedures and their accuracy).

- Facilitates the consolidation and shares in the explanation for the financial reporting of Shared Services.

- Ensures that the appropriate systems and procedures are in place which provide for the necessary control and safeguarding of assets and the efficient execution of financial activities.

- Structures and staffs the finance operations through appropriate personnel selection, training and assignment, succession planning, and through proper delegation of responsibility and authority providing a framework for personnel development and growth.

- Assists in advising the Shared Services Operations Managers on operating matters. Develops analysis and studies on trends affecting the business.

- Provides financial support to all Shared Services Operations including performance metrics, performance to forecast and budget, etc.

- Responsible for the overall compilation and critical review of financial forecasts and analyses (operating plans, budgets, strategic plans, PAR's, etc.) as required by Corporate Policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Requires Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance; experience with DFAR or FAR and CAS

Preferred Experience: Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with both financial and general accounting background in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience. CPA and/or MBA
