A global manufacturing firm located in Shelton, Ct is currently hiring for an Accounting Manager. My client is seeking a candidate who has obtained there CPA with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience with hands-on knowledge of SAP and Hyperion/HFM. The job requirements are as followed: Complete account reconciliations and accounting estimates for specific general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate reporting. Prepare monthly Corporate reporting templates Assist in the completion of biannual operating plans, building functional plans for many functions Perform ad-hoc research and historical analysis utilizing varying data sources (ERP, data warehouse databases, consolidation packages, etc.) to help resolve issues that confront our business partners. Manage the annual Corporate statutory audits as well as the continual performance of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Identify and document site accounting issues including keeping current on technical accounting pronouncements and other guidance. Assist in the assessment and planning of new system implementations, including site testing and readiness analysis. Job Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. Technical Skills: CPA with 3-5 years of manufacturing accounting/finance experience and/or Big 4/regional public accounting firm experience required. Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion/HFM a plus; must be a problem solver who is driven to learn and have a bias for action. Communication Skills: Demonstrates interpersonal skills required for the effective management of personnel as well as the ability to interface with cross functional leadership to ensure proper accounting, reporting and support to senior finance leadership.
