Accounting Manager, Media – SOX and US GAAP recruitment
A US-listed media company is looking to recruit a Accounting Manager to manage its Program Content Accounting team in Singapore.
This person will interface and work closely with multi-functional (Finance and non-Finance) departments in the Asia Pacific and US Program Content accounting team to perform the following activities surrounding Program Content assets, which include but are not limited to: acting as the communication bridge between Finance and non-Finance departments; establishing new inter-department communication protocols and procedures; overseeing and/or executing monthly Financial closing activities; and identifying risks and opportunities while pinpointing best practices to propose and implement process improvement initiatives across Finance and non-Finance departments, to enhance operational effectiveness efficiency and controls.
The successful candidate will have a university degree in Accounting/ Finance, and/ or CPA, CIA, with a good understanding of processes, risks and controls - at least 8-years of working experience, out of which at least 3-years of supervisory experience. In addition to this, they must have a keen interest in seeking process improvement opportunities to enhance controls and processes in an efficient and effective matter.
Experience with fixed asset management using SAP is preferred (but not a must) and exposure to SOX and prior external/ internal audit experience will be highly preferred.
This position is only open to Singaporean and PRs. The ability to start work immediately is an added advantage.
