ACCOUNTING MANAGER recruitment
This position will report directly to the CFO and provide oversight to billings, payroll, AR/AP and handle monthly closings.
We are looking for an experienced leader who has developed and implemented strategic initiatives for accounting systems and policies and procedures in a global environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting staff and all operational accounting functions including payroll.
- Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes.
- Manage and take a hands-on approach to International collections.
- Develop controls to manage monthly closings and oversee the process.
- Review financial reports and statements.
- Must be effective working and utilizing a global network of accountants and lawyers.
- Manage the implementation of new accounting system from the accounting side.
- Prepare 1099’s at year end.
Qualifications
- Experience developing, motivating and supervising a staff of 5+ for several years.
- Experience in a small to medium sized privately held company with ability to build structure and processes in a growing and changing environment.
- Must have worked in a global environment with knowledge of accounting systems, foreign legal and tax issues. Tax preparation and GAAP knowledge NOT applicable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in using technology solutions to improve efficiency and improve business processes.
- Proactive thinker with the ability to identify and implement change when needed.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to succeed with minimal daily supervision.
- BA required, CPA a plus.
