Kaiser Permanente is looking for an Accounting Manager in Downey. This budgeted position will support the Southern California Claims Administration.

Essential Functions

- Works on issues of diverse scope.
- Receives assignments as objectives and determines how to use resources to meet these goals and schedules.
- Requires significant planning and direction setting to coordinate with other divisions or resources.
- Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect the immediate function.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of management experience
- 4-year degree or 4 additional years of equivalent experience
- Excellent spreadsheet (Excel), word processing (Word), and database (Access) skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting procedures
- Knowledge and ability to translate raw data into input formats that will ultimately generate accurate financial and management reports
- Aptitude for numbers, strong attention to detail, and well organized

Experience with:
- Healthcare and/or claims
- Cash management
- Accounts Receivable
- Managing a staff of 4-10 people
