Accounting Operations Officer recruitment
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounting Operations Officer to work for a top tier investment bank.
You will be responsible for all key administration of the accounts payable function.
Responsibilities include:
- Administration of the accounts payable function
- Reviewing expense claims to ensure they comply with the expenses policy
- Execute weekly BACS and CHAPS payment using the online banking systems for expenses and issue remittance advices to payees (both local and foreign payments)
- Perform standard reconciliation work as required
- Exception reporting for any expenses not within policy (manual journals)
- Process rechargeable invoices (Horizontal costs)
- Assisting with Mid-month and Pre-month end close of expenses including accruals, prepayments, allocations.
- Supplier statement and balance sheet account ownership
- Close liaison with the Financial Reporting team and key business unit contacts
- Finance contact for all expenses, including staff expenses.
- Ad-hoc expense analysis
Skills and Experience:
- Professional manner at all times, with a good ability to interact with all levels of management, staff and suppliers is advantageous.
- Strong communicator, organisational and time management skills are beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, VAT on invoices, experience in online banking systems and previous experience in Smartstream is desirable.
