ACCOUNTING TEAM LEADER recruitment
The role is to ensure the provision of an effective administration and accounting service to Clients and Investment Managers. The successful candidate will have staff responsibility for a team of Investment Accountants.
Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain standards and procedures of the team to ensure they are in-line with departmental standards.
- Feedback to Manager on system improvements, performance of team and adherence to standards and collation of team MI.
- Review team’s work (including daily, weekly, monthly, month end, quarter end and year end reconciliations) ensuring completion in accordance with departmental standards.
- Help team members solve day to day team problems and queries in a timely fashion.
- Monitor client service levels to ensure all required information is sent out within the client, internal and regulatory deadlines, including communication of any problems/potential problems to the Manager.
- Contribute to the development of the department by actively communicating with management on suggested initiatives and improvements and ensuring any adopted procedures are fully embraced within the team.
- Carry out team administrative duties such as authorisation of holiday forms and ensuring self certification forms are completed.
- Ensure feedback from meetings is communicated to team in a timely manner and any feedback from team is communicated to managers.
- Manage the Team including:
- Clear and appropriate apportionment of responsibilities and resources.
- Management of staff including training, development and appraisals.
- Ownership of Accountants and Team responsibilities as well as own.
- Involvement in Firm/Department/Team projects aimed at enhancing the service provided.

Core Requirements:
- IOC (previously IAQ) qualified or working towards it.
- Strong reconciliations exposure.
