Accounting & Valuation Manager recruitment
Our client is a highly regarded diversified investment company based in Abu Dhabi with an exceptionally strong financial backing. Operating primarily within the GCC region, the firm has invested across a variety of sectors and are well regarded across the global market. As the organisation continues to grow, it has become necessary for them to appoint an Accounting Valuation Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a leading and growing investment institution.
Reporting directly to the CFO and Group Financial Controller, the successful candidate will;
- Be responsible for defining and implementing the strategy of the finance function in line with the organisation’s business strategy.
- Be expected to establish and develop the accounting functions within the investee companies whilst acting as interim Financial Controller/CFO to them when needed
- Work closely with the groups’ investment team to develop, implement and monitor KPIs of investee companies and regularly provide valuations
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a professional accounting qualification, come from a strong accountancy background and have experience of working in an investment advisory role having performed numerous valuations.
The successful candidate will;
- Hold a business, finance or engineering related degree as well as a recognised professional accountancy qualification, such as an ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the core principles of strategic and financial planning as well as extensive valuations experience and highly developed skills.
- Ideally have worked within a Big 4 institution and most recently within a similar diversified investment holding group.
- Demonstrate extensive exposure to financial and administrative portfolio management along with experience in project financing.
- Have a very consistent CV.
- Preferably be situated in the GCC already, however, this is not a necessity
