Accounts and Payroll Officer - temp to perm

A successful £15 million turnover SME Barnsley based organisation requires an experienced and AAT Qualified Accounts and Payroll Officer to take sole responsibility for the finances of the business. This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to take ownership of the finance function and you will be given a great deal of responsibility.

The role involves running the everyday financial bookkeeping aspects including:
• Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledger entries on Sage accounts
• Payments to suppliers - cheques, Direct Debits, BACS, CHAPS
• Reconciliations of all sales/purchase ledgers, bank accounts
• Profit Loss
• Monthly Financial reports
• Vat Returns
• End of Month Journal entries for wages, stock, PAYE
• Preparation of company accounts for the Accountant and Auditors.
• Monthly Wages, Employee Payroll Administration processing of wages - new staff, P45's,

P46's, Monthly payroll tasks including collating hours, overtime, commission, rates, holidays, sick. On-line submissions to Revenue and Customs including PAYE calculations and payments. To qualify for consideration you must be AAT Qualified, have worked in a similar role and be able available for a temporary to permanent appointment.
