Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper

Our client located in the Thetford area is seeking an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join them in January 2014 to provide cover for a period of maternity leave (10-12 month contract).   Reporting to the Directors, this is a varied and busy position taking responsibility for the daily accounts function.  Key responsibilities will include purchase ledger sales ledger, including processing raising invoices; raising sales orders; processing self-billing invoices; cash allocation and credit control; preparing payment runs; and resolving queries.  You will also support the Group Accountant with month end close duties including  accruals prepayments.

The successful candidate will be AAT Qualified or equivalent experience.  An ability to work in a busy and fast-paced role, with an adaptable approach and an eye for detail is essential.  Excellent communication skills and a confident manner is key.  An interesting and varied role working for a leading local employer, this is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper looking for new opportunity.
