The company

Our client is an award-winning creator and publisher of interactive entertainment for a range of gaming consoles, PC’s, wireless devices and online gaming. The business is US owned and controlled and has grown significantly in the last five years. In that time, it has established a successful European operation in London initially and more recently with new offices in France, Germany and the Netherlands.  Although strong financial and administrative controls are in place both in Europe and the US, the increasing volume of transactions and activity has led to the need for this new role. It is based in the London office where the environment is very professional while still being friendly open and relaxed.

Accounts payable responsibilities will include invoice approval, supplier queries and liaison with the US payables team. Purchase ordering will involve order preparation and authorisation, progress tracking, calculation of accruals and reporting on actual costs by project. The role will also involve liaison with a number of third party distributors in Europe and Oceania to resolve any financial queries. Other duties will include reconciliation processing of company credit card statements and staff expenses as well as maintaining the IT asset register. In addition, there will be some reconciliation of sales invoices/credit notes to inventory movements and warehouse records as well as a number of ad hoc tasks. There is an increasing volume of work, a need to follow established systems and procedures and a requirement to liaise with a wide variety of people including staff in the UK, Europe and US as well as suppliers and the outsourced accounting providers.
