Accounts Assistant Job in York, Yorkshire Uk

Duties to include:

Liaise with all levels within the Commercial Department
Responsible for all 50 suppliers of various sizes
Chase Debt by phone and fax of overdue rebate payments
Preparation of rebate allocations for inclusion in the accounts
Journal Preparation
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Producing reports for the Commercial Department
Assisting with year end rebate schedule preparation
Preparing and allocating year end rebates and accruals
Please note this is an excellent opportunity to start a 2 year initial programme in the finance team and to eventually move on into Management / Financial Accounting

Excellent interpersonal skills
Candidates should ideally be AAT Qualified or started CIMA.
Double Entry / Book Keeping
Good Excel skills
Confident approach to work and decision making
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
