Accounts Assistant (Maternity Cover)
One of the UK's leading independent professional services companies is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your accountancy career within one of the UK's leading firms; the company provide business advisory, risk management, tax, recovery, and financial management services to a national client base.
Your role would be to prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, post month end journals, reconcile accounts, run payrolls, and produce management information on behalf of a range of clients. You will be expected to complete all work in accordance with the deadlines set within the client service level agreement, building effective relationships with clients and dealing with queries accurately and efficiently.
The ideal candidate for the role will have experience working as part of a high volume and fast paced accounts department. You will ideally be AAT qualified / part-qualified, while experience working within practice would also be an advantage, as will significant exposure to tax regulations.
You will be a well organised individual, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. This is a client-facing role so excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels will be required. Good IT skills will also be required (Excel and Sage).
