Accounts Assistant (part time)

My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team on a part time temporary contract.

Day to day duties include;

· To receive, on a daily basis, all monies for banking, recording on Cash Receipts spread sheet and preparing banking for crediting to bank account.
· To allocate all receipts accurately against customer accounts and relevant invoices.
· To monitor debtors listings and contact outstanding debtors in an efficient and courteous manner.
· To prepare monthly statements and overdue correspondence, including County Court Summons, where necessary, for account customers.
· To process all suppliers invoices and ensure authorisation by management prior to settlement.
· To balance supplier statements as received to ensure supplier accounts are accurate.
· To produce supplier payments and remittances for payment on online banking system.
· To allocate all supplier payments accurately against supplier accounts and invoices.
· To calculate staff hours for inclusion on monthly payroll using time attendance system.
· To assist in preparing monthly payroll and submission via online banking system.
· To check bank statements and ensure bank reconciliation is carried out on a daily basis.
· To process incoming mail and distribution to relevant staff.
· At all times ensure compliance of company’s rules regulations and the health safety policy.
· To comply with all reasonable requests other than those detailed in this job description.

Experience of Kerridge accounts system is essential for this role.
