Position Description:

This job role is responsible for ensuring that SunGard's annual PAYE Settlement Agreement is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard, ensuring that all applicable HMRC guidelines are complied with and sufficient backup is gathered to support the claim amount paid to HMRC in settlement of SunGard's tax liability for benefits provided to employees.

Job Role:
• Extracting large volumes of information from SUN accounting system, using report templates based in Excel
• Analysis of extracted information, consideration of SunGard policies and HMRC guidelines
• Locating, retrieving and printing of invoices and expense reports as supporting documentation for transactions from various internal software packages
• Maintenance of claim master file in Excel, ensuring all relevant information is captured and clearly documented
• Liaising with Human Resources, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Business Unit personnel to investigate items and obtain explanations and supporting information
• Communicating any issues to the PSA Coordinator as soon as possible to ensure timely resolution
• Undertake other ad hoc duties as required, both in relation to this project and others at the instruction of the Statutory Accounting Managers. This will include, but not be limited to, preparing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations and assisting with internal and external statutory reporting tasks.

Position Requirements:
• Experience of data analysis of large volumes of information in Excel
• Ability to remain focussed and exhibit attention to detail when dealing with large volumes of information
• Previous experience in payroll accounting tasks/PAYE Settlement Agreements is advantageous
• Strong Excel skills are essential (Excel 2010 preferred)
• Ability to work to deadlines and excellent time management skills
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on being pro-active and taking initiative where possible
• Awareness of UK personal taxes and benefits rules is advantageous
• Good accounting knowledge/experience, with experience in preparing balance sheet account reconciliations advantageous

This role is being offered on a permanent basis, working 4 days per week.
