Accounts Associate
My client, a manufacturing organisation based in the borders is seeking a confident, personable finance professional to join their dynamic team on a 12 month Fixed Term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to support the accountant through the provision of detailed analysis and the completion of daily and month end accounting tasks to a high standard.
Your typical day will be varied and consist of tasks such as maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, reconciliations of bank accounts and ledgers, preparing VAT returns, month end reporting such as journal posting, accruals, providing analysis of the PL and taking accounts to trial balance.
Ideally you will be qualified to AAT or HNC level in Accounting or have extensive experience in a similar role. You will be a confident communicator who is approachable and driven to meet and exceed targets in a team setting. Experience in using a variety of finance systems is desirable and strong Excel skills are essential. Due to the location of the role this will suit someone who either drives or lives locally.
