Accounts Payable Assistant Job in Miami 33131, Florida US
We are a financial services firm located in the Brickell area of Miami seeking an Accounts Payable candidate to complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Duties:
- To match vendor invoices to support documentation by company.
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
- Selects invoices for payment and prepare weekly check run.
- Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Filling of invoices and check stubs.
- Runs all month end AP reports.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Other accounting administrative duties as requested.
Skills/Qualifications:
Qualified candidates for this position will prossess:
- An Associate's degree in Accounting.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
- Computer proficient in Excel.
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to plan work activities and use time effeciently.
- General Math Skills.
