Accounts Payable (Expenses)
My client, a leading management consultancy are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Accountant. The role is heavily expense focussed. The job is based in the City of London. The role has arisen due to my client's impressive growth plans. My client has a preference for candidates who have a minimum of 3 years' accounts payable experience within professional services, i.e. legal, consultancy, insurance or financial services. Although not essential, a candidate who is experienced with Elite would be advantageous.
The role will consist processing up to 50,000 expenses per year, so someone who has dealt with expenses of comparable volume would be ideal. Other duties include processing audit expense claims, chasing for coding approval and preparing payment runs. Candidates with exposure to intercompany and multicurrency accounting are extremely desirable. There will be a strong element of liaising with clients and suppliers, so candidates need to have excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills. Candidates who are competent with Excel, i.e. building v-look ups and pivot tables from scratch are strongly preferred. Although not essential, a candidate who is experienced with Elite would be advantageous.
Candidates who have previously worked in the professional services arena (i.e. legal, consultancy, insurance, financial services) are extremely desirable. This is due to the nature of the work, particularly the intercompany and multicurrency aspect.
