Accounts Payable Manager
Overview:
This position will manage the daily operation of the Accounts Payable Department of a multi-entity physician practice organization. The position will lead the Accounts Payable Associates and oversee the timely and accurate accounts payable processing of invoices, check requests, invoice, and refund requests and the related reporting responsibilities. This position will be a working supervisory position.
Responsibilities:
Manage staff within the Accounts Payable Department, including hiring and training of the staff, annual performance evaluations, organizing and leading the department, and enforcement of the Company Accounts Payable policies and procedures. Work with the Controller and Director of Finance to provide orientation to transitioning practice managers and operational leadership as well as providing orientation to new practices during their on-boarding phase. Educates / orients practice management of appropriate utilization of MSO chart of accounts related to Accounts Payable training.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required. Advanced coursework in bookkeeping preferred. 5+ years practical accounts payable experience required, preferably in a multi-entity healthcare setting with a minimum 3 years supervisory experience. Experience with IMMS (Integrated Materials Management System) is preferred. Strong supervisory skills. Must be computer literate with proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel Word. Strong data entry skills and 10-key skills are required. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with physicians, management, vendors, consultants and other clients. Ability to understand and interpret policies and procedures. Knowledge of basic math skills. Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Exceptional ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with attention to detail. Ability to work positively as part of a team is required. Strong telephone etiquette skills and customer service skills.
