Accounts Payable Supervisor Job in Riceboro 31320, Georgia US

 

SUMMARY:

SNF Holding Company is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor.  The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee a team of Accounts Payable Clerks to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of payables in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. This person serves as principal point of contact and resource for questions and issues related to the Accounts Payable department.  The Accounts Payable Supervisor reports directly to the Disbursements Manager, but provides support for the Finance Department as needed. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.      Utilizes expert knowledge to monitor compliance with established policies and procedures. Performs secondary review of invoices and check requests for accurate coding and approvals, providing guidance and training to requestors or AP staff as needed.

2.      Responsible for workflow among the AP team, ensuring payment standards are maintained according to company guidelines. Ensures coverage across all AP functions during periods of peak load and staff shortages.

3.      Oversees resolution of issues relating to customer disbursements, invoices and expense reimbursements.

4.      Facilitates communication among vendors and between functional departments and AP team.

5.      Responsible for completing various transaction types such as vendor invoices, customer disbursement and employee expense reimbursements.

6.      Assist in managing the disciplinary process, ensuring that performance feedback is given to employees in a timely and consistent manner and documented in line with company policy.

7.      Assumes additional responsibilities as directed.

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

1.      Associates Degree in Accounting or Business preferred

2.      3-5 years in Accounts Payable and a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience

3.      Experience in AX Dynamics and AS400 software a plus.

4.      Problem solving and multitasking is essential.

5.      Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word and Microsoft Applications.

6.      Must have the capability to prioritize and plan work activities effectively and efficiently 
            to meet deadlines and be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
