MAIN ACTIVITIES
· Enters billing transactions, checks and proofs entries and makes corrections as needed.
· Processes invoices, runs audit report, matches transactions, checks against balance and makes corrections as needed. Attention to details is very important.
· Works with customers, suppliers and other departments to resolve billing issues, obtaining documentation, etc. Prepares edits to invoices as necessary.
· Processes accounts receivable/payable for special assigned accounts and special projects.
· Processes end-of-month accounts receivable/payable customer adjustments to keep accounts clean / maintained.
· Runs audit reports and makes labor corrections as needed.
· Prepares journal entries.
Performs administrative duties such as sorting, filing and maintaining correspondence and electronic documents and ensures easy retrieval.
· Maintains up-to-date procedure manual for accounting.
· Maintains documentation for compliance to policies and procedures for internal audits.
Knowledge, Skills Experience
· High School or equivalent (Some college preferred)
· Must have recent billing and accounts receivable experience.
· Effective oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary, good grammar and the ability to independently compose routine written communications
· Project billing in Oil and Gas industry preferred.
· Understanding of basic math and the ability to read, write and comprehend written and verbal English.
· Knowledge of general office practices and procedures and an understanding of the organization related to the work.
· PC skills with knowledge of MS programs and accounting software programs.
· Ability to maintain spreadsheets and modify formats in order to complete assignments.
· Payroll experience a plus.
