Accounts Receivable Officer Job in Sydney 2000, New South Wales Australia

This large ASX listed FMCG organisation based in the Norwest Business Park is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to add to their team. This role has the scope for the right candidate to move into the Team Leader role within 6-12 months. Working closely with the National Credit Manager and Senior Credit Controllers, this role is primarily responsible for the collection of all past due accounts receivable from an individually assigned ledgar. It is critical the candidate retains the customer's goodwill for future sales. The role looks heavily at reducing delinquincies and improving cash flow for the business.

Reporting to the National Credit and Collections Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

Managing your own ledgar of approx 1100 active accounts (approx $4.5 million in value)
Regular follow up calls of all outstanding accounts (the role is 80% collections)
Reconciliations of debtor accounts and adjustment journals as required.
Recording all verbal correspondence with customers on the computer system
To check and release credit held orders on a regulas basis throughout each day
Daily with short payment issues as they arise
Continuous review of aged debtors
Maintain professional and friendly relationships with external and internal customers
