Actuarial Manager – High Net worth team recruitment
Leading Insurer with a solid reputation across the region, who provide a comprehensive range of life, medical and general insurance products, retirement schemes and MPF products to corporate and individual customers, are seeking experienced actuaries to joining their specialist team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role is focused to support to the Life Profit Centre on activities related to actuarial, risk management, finance, investments and product management/pricing.
Responsibilities -
Portfolio management and planning -
* Provide insightful analytical support to the monitoring of the business' financial performance, including profitability and risk metrics
* Interpret financial results including statutory accounts, IFRS accounts, traditional Embedded Value, Risk Based Capital and Market Consistent Embedded Value to provide insights for financial risk management of the business
* Coordinate the annual budget exercise (AOP) as well as on-going updates (ROP)
Product development and management -
* Provide technical support for crediting rate management and to recommend appropriate actions to optimise the asset-liability management
* Provide actuarial support to enable pricing decisions to be done consistent with actuarial principles, taking into account the group's profitability target and risk appetite
Experience/Skills Required -
- Solid understanding of actuarial and business reality
- Be a self-motivated, pro-active self-starter with the ability and attributes to act and perform with minimal direction or instruction
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across divisions
- Business acumen is necessary
- Strong communication skills with high written and oral proficiency in English ability to communicate complex financial matters to non-technical parties
- Degree holder in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant disciplines
- 3 to 5 years' experience in actuarial, insurance finance or investment field
