We have been retained by our client, a leading professional services organisation to recruit two Actuarial Modellers to join their highly regarded team. We are recruiting two roles within the advertised scale that can be based in Scotland or London.
Key responsibilities will include:
·Ongoing development of pension scheme models and their integration with asset and risk models:
·Hands-on programming and design work
·Consultation with key stakeholders across divisions
·Production of high-level specifications where necessary
·Assisting with test, deployment and support activities where appropriate.
·Building a credible understanding of the actuarial modelling and risk analytics
The Candidate:
·Previous modelling experience and of a particular modelling technology
·The aptitude to apply that experience to new situations using emerging technologies.
·Excellent communication skills. Team-work is an essential ingredient to the team's performance as is the ability to engage with our key stakeholders.
·Problem solving expertise. Solving analytical problems is key to this role
·Versatility. The ability to work across range of areas and different modelling challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
·Actuarial experience would be beneficial - fully qualified, part qualified or given-up exams.
·Some pensions or other life knowledge would be desirable
·Experience of actuarial model development (MoSes or a similar platform)
·Can demonstrate creative thinking to solve advanced modelling problems
·Can demonstrate leadership skills
