THE FIRM
Leading Mid-market boutique - closed over 40 deals in 2011
THE ROLE
Joining a team with 3 established ADs/Directors already, you will benefit from an existing strong pipeline of deals and strong brand in the Consumer brand across Online/Multi-Channel Retail, Leisure, Pubs Restaurants. However, the focus of this hire is to build out the firm's presence within the Food Beverages space. To this end, the firm has already closed deals in this market, and there are a number of warm leads already, but the team needs an experienced Business Developer and Deal Closer to come on board and make this market their own.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing - acting as a principal in leading business development opportunities
- Client Relationships - building strong relationships and a strong brand across the UK Food Beverages space
- Deal Management - leading and managing teams, advising on strategy and leading key meetings
- Technical Competence - leads complex and technically demanding assignments, acting as mentor and role model
THE CANDIDATE
We are seeking a candidate with a long term vision - to become a leading name in the UK Food Beverages market with the support of the firm, and in doing so to become a leader and part-owner of the firm. We are not seeking opportunist bankers with a one-year mindset. We are seeking a team-player who can leverage the broad network of the firm and create opportunities both for your own team and elsewhere - not a one-man-band deal doer who tramples relationships for a quick fee.
We are interested in particular in:
- Strong deal experience in MA in the Consumer space
- 5-10 years total career experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with evidence of prior success in business development
- Evidence of long-term focus and cross-selling abilities
- An ACA/Masters Degree/MBA would be a plus
