Essential Duties Responsibilities
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides administrative support and coordination to the Sr.Global Advocacy Director and department in areas of fundraising, advocacy, grassroots organizing, promotional marketing and public relations.
- Coordinates and provides administrative support for the department including mailings, databases, and reports.
- Manages the scheduling of meetings for the Global Advocacy department.
- Manages travel arrangements and expense accounting for the department.
- Manages departmental archives, including filing systems, databases, and photo and video archives as assigned.
- Generates support materials for the Sr. Director of Global Advocacy and department such as Powerpoint presentations, charts and graphic materials as needed.
- Orders and maintains supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance.
- Reads and routes incoming mail.
- Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes as needed.
- Makes copies of correspondence and other printed material as needed.
- Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes meeting minutes.
- Manages routine, non-confidential personnel items for signatures such as check requests, sheets, vacation requests, letters, etc.
- Interfaces with other AHF departments and international partners as needed.
- Coordinates global project planning under the direction of the Director.
- Prepares and distributes development proposals.
Maintains a database through the Get Active distribution system in coordination with the AHF Marketing Department.Assists the Director with local and non-local events and advocacy activities.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs or equivalent, including Excel Database software: Netscape and Explorer Internet software; and MS Word processing software.
Education and/or Experience
- One year certificate from college or technical school; and minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
