GENERAL FUNCTION:

This position provides situational-adapted basic office services support for multiple principals in a relatively homogeneous operating unit (such as one or more related Departments within a Division).

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

This position reports to the Space Defense Group Human Resource Manager, East Aurora Site. This position includes responsibilities as Administrative Assistant to the Site Human Resources Manager, Group Learning Development Manager, and Reception for Plant 20. There are multiple and intermittent functions that are conducted and involve highly confidential and sensitive matters associated with Human Resources.

This position works with substantial independence in arranging and providing office services that are needed so that principals do not have to deal with details of implementation.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Production, distribution, and support for common written and graphic materials (e.g. memoranda, reports; presentations, etc.) including combinations of explanatory, technical, statistical, or financial components;
Produce high quality correspondences from written and verbal instruction
Prepare expense accounts
Routine arrangements for events such as different types of meetings, luncheons and travel
Facilitation of incoming and outgoing communications processes including mail, e-mail and in-person appointments

Provide competent and efficient administrative support services to the Site HR Manager and Group Learning Development Manager
General administrative duties

RECEPTIONIST DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Visitors to this facility represent a broad range of function and authority and will include those calling on the top management of the Company. A visitor's additional impression of Moog can be significantly affected by this person's ability to diplomatically deal with a wide variety of questions, requests and problem situations under little supervision.

Provide effective reception service to all visitors to the Space Defense Group facility by receiving, greeting, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
Maintain efficient and presentable lobby by keeping visitors register and carrying out housekeeping tasks.
Supports Group security and export compliance policies.
Support Corporate and Group employee communications objectives by assisting in those activities required to insure the timely, regular publication and distribution of internal communication vehicles.
Coordinates all aspects of facility tours
Manages the Moog Image Store, including ordering, accounting, shipping, and scheduling of workers

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree or equivalent
AND
Minimum 2 years relevant and progressively skilled full-time work experience
