Minimum Requirements:
· High School diploma/GED equivalent
· Some college and/or certified clerical training preferred
· Ability to type 45 wpm preferred
· Exceptional phone skills required
· Excellent computer skills and knowledgeable of various software packages
· Excellent verbal, written,interpersonal, grammar, spelling, proofreading and organizational skills required
· Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, private, and professional manner
· Incumbent must be honest, reliable, independent, self motivated and a good decision maker
· Work generally performed in an office environment, however experience in a testing or light industrial environment preferred.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
· Represents department in a professional, courteous and helpful manner
· Greets visitors, verify appointments and directs guest accordingly
· Handles catering arrangements
· Performs various secretarial duties as assigned i.e.;(filing, typing, copying, proofreading, editing, compiling, etc.)
· Prepares correspondences such as memos, letters, reports and presentation materials
· Answer phones i.e.;(screen, forward, take messages, transfer, page employees, and problem solve)
· Takes clear, accurate and concise phone messages i.e.;(name, date, time, company, number, regarding and message)
· Process mailing i.e.; (fold, stuff, stamp, seal, sort, address, distribute, pick-up and deliver)
· Maintains and updates departmental files, reports, timekeeping records, etc.
· Handle and maintain confidential information in a private, discreet, and professional manner
· Attend meetings, maintain attendance records and prepares meeting minutes
· Purchase, distribute and maintain adequate levels of office supplies
· Coordinate the timely flow of information and paperwork throughout the department and company
· Assists with switchboard coverage
· Receive incoming prototype parts and notify the responsible owners.
· Coordinate Validation and Prototype equipment calibrations.
