The Agency:
Central Marin Sanitation Agency (CMSA) is located in the cultural, commercial and government center of Marin County, the City of San Rafael, halfway between San Francisco and California's famous wine country, Napa Valley and Sonoma. CMSA is the wastewater treatment organization serving the cities and towns of Ross, San Anselmo, Fairfax, San Rafael, Larkspur, Corte Madera, and the San Quentin prison and the Ross Valley area.
The Position:
CMSA is looking for an individual to provide varied office management and confidential administrative support for the General Manager, Executive staff, and Agency employees; to serve as the Clerk to the Agency’s Board of Commissioners; and to administer assigned personnel and employee benefit functions for the Agency.
The incumbent will prepare the agenda for meetings of the Agency Commission; ensure that appropriate legal notification of meeting time and content is publicized; coordinate the preparation and distribution of agenda packets to Commission members and other interested parties; attend Commission meetings which are held in the evenings after regular business hours; ensure that all required materials are available; compose meeting minutes from audio recordings and notes; coordinate posting approved minutes to the Agency website; process post-meeting documents and follow up on actions dictated at meetings; track votes and keep comprehensive official files documenting meeting; process all Agency resolutions and ordinances; write various Agency resolutions as assigned; coordinate and process all Agency contracts; coordinate human resources programs, including benefits administration, recruitment, personnel files, training, and workers’ compensation programs; write content for and coordinate the updating for the Agency's web page; preparation of the Agency newsletter; prepare a variety of correspondence, procedures, proposals, memos, forms, and other written materials; maintain, update, and distribute the weekly Management calendar; perform a variety of general secretarial office support work, such as maintaining filing systems, preparing minutes of staff meetings, arranging for meetings and conference and seminar attendance, maintaining calendars of activities, calculating expenditures, processing incoming mail and delivers, preparing bank deposits, and tracking and procurement of office supplies.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Equivalent to completion of an Associate degree from two-year college or technical school or five years related experience and/or training.
