ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT recruitment
Standard Poor's is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Chicago Office.

This position reports to the Office Manager.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with managing daily schedules for multiple people within organization.
- Coordinate meetings, including scheduling and setting up conference rooms, securing proper equipment, arranging for video conferencing, sending reminders and arranging catering.
- Assist in preparing a variety of documents, letters and emails in draft and final form utilizing software programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Provide assistance with proofreading and editing documents prior to distribution.
- Mail distribution, electronic filing and scan documents as required.
- Use intranet to gather information to support initiatives. Prepare Branded reports using specialized program.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:
- Possess excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills mandatory;
- This is a highly visible position which interacts with individuals at all levels within the organization;
- Professional phone manner and demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills are necessary;
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment demonstrate the ability to and to work independently, as well as work on projects as required
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
- Proficient in XP Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet
- Ability to learn new software as necessary
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work as needed
- Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Relevant work experience as an Administrative Assistant is required, preferably in the Financial Services Industry
- Ability to handle confidential information necessary to protect the company
- Permanent Work Authorization for the United States
