Our firm, The Gammill Group, has been retained to the Stanford Hospital and Clinics, to locate an Administrative Director of HIMS. This position, reporting to the Vice President, Revenue Operations, will be responsible for leading the health information department. Stanford boasts one of the most advance electronic medical records department, utilizing state of the art technologies. Stanford Hospital and Clinics is currently recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals and currently ranked #15 in the United States. Located in beautiful Palo Alto, California, the hospital is also part of one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the country.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Ø Manages and directly supervises multiple managers of various areas
Ø Provide institutional direction for HIMS functions
Ø Budget oversight and direction
Ø Contribute and assist with the design and development and implementation of electronic health records
Ø Creating operational improvements within the department
We require a Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Health Information Systems, Public Health or Business Administration along with broad, extensive experience in HIM administration, including some experience as a director in an academic medical center or a director in a health system. Person must have RHIA certification and experience with emerging technologies within HIM for the capture, management and dissemination of health care information.
