Administrative/Clerical Support Job in Frederick 21701, Maryland US

ClinicalRM  is recruiting for Administrative/Clerical Support to work at the USAMRIID  in Frederick, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare, organize, and maintain documents and correspondence in accordance with Army and local regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
  2. Monitor and update delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines.
  3. Answer telephone calls and handle all inquiries within capacity, provide back-up materials for call backs, and route calls elsewhere as needed.
  4. Coordinate room availability and schedule meetings to meet the needs of the Division.
  5. Assist management in administration duties, coordination of work flow, schedule management, and work time-lines.
  6. Assist in preparation and maintenance of scientific support files to include Unified Culture Collection Product Master Records, Product Information Sheets, Certificate of Analysis, Batch History Records, and scientific progress reports.
  7. Manage Division electronic digitization program to improve storage/retrieval systems.
  8. Compile current APC amounts, update budget spreadsheets, and assist in ordering through the AIRS ordering system.
  9. Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations.  Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
  10. Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Reference Manager/Endnote, and be able to type 45 to 55 words per minute.
  3. Prior knowledge or experience with basic office duties desired.
  4. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with personnel at varying levels and within a military culture.
  5. U.S. citizen required due to facility requirements set forth by the Federal Government.
  6. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  knowledge of applicable highly complex scientific procedures and techniques relating to position.
  7. Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
