Administrator Job in Chipping Campden, Midlands UK
Our client is looking to recruit an Administrator to work within the Department of Consumer and Sensory Science.
The Department is responsible for work on many aspects of food quality and is involved in measuring the characteristics of food, such as appearance, odour, taste and texture. Food companies are interested to understand how these ‘sensory’ characteristics are changed under different manufacturing or storage conditions.
Sensory analysis uses people as the measuring ‘instrument’. Teams of fully trained food and drink tasters are used for the assessment of a wide range of fresh, processed and prepared food and drink products on behalf of client companies. Consumer research is also carried out to investigate consumer opinions and preferences.
The Position:
This position reports to the Technical Project Officer.
Providing support to the Consumer Market Insights section, you will have excellent administrative skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and a high level of attention to detail. The role will involve, invoicing, assistance with reports and contacting suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing support to the Project Manager, with excellent administrative skills and a high level of accuracy
- Polite and professional client/supplier telephone manner, ability to arrange product supplies directly with suppliers
- Organisation of consumer database
- Competent and accurate high volume invoicing of suppliers
- Assisting with photographing products and maintaining image files
- Involvement with the logging and storage of products
- Setting up report templates and project files
- Collation of data to meet specific client needs
- Assisting with the general promotional and administrative duties associated with the section and department
Qualifications and Competencies
- Proficient in Word and Excel - minimum intermediate level
- PowerPoint and Access knowledge would be an advantage
- GCSE in Maths and English
- Effective verbal written and communication skills
- Full Driving Licence

Pay and Benefits
Salary:
£12,750 - £15,000
Holidays:
24 days rising on length of service, plus public holidays
