We are a Prmary Home Care Agency. The PHC program is a nontechnical, medically related personal care service provided to adults whose health problems cause them to be functionally limited in performing activities of daily living, according to a statement of medical need. PHC provider agencies also provide Family Care services. This service also is a nonskilled, nontechnical service provided to eligible clients who are functionally limited in performing daily activities.
This is a sample job description of what we are looking for. We would prefer for the Administrator to have RN licensure and be bilingual English/Spanish.
JOB DESCRIPTION: ADMINISTRATOR/ ALTERNATE ADMINISTRATOR
Position Summary:
Plan, develop, and direct the programs, services and activities, and the employees of the agency.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have one year of health service supervising.
- May have a degree in nursing, health service administration, or a business related field.
- Must have 12 clock hours as required by DADS of continued education to be appointed as Administrator. Must complete 8 clock hours of continued education per year in duties related to administration through the year for every of employment as an Administrator.
- Minimum of one year experience in supervisory or administrative position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Must not have been employed in the last year as an administrator with an agency at the time the agency was cited with violations that resulted in enforcement against the agency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Hire competent staff.
- Plan, organize and direct the agency’s ongoing functions.
- Identify and implement the organizational structure.
- Supervise and evaluate client satisfaction survey report.
- Must be available during working hours.
- Provide direction in formulating the programs and policies.
- Identify the legislative, community, and third-party payer issues that impact agency development.
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations governing home health care services, patient’s rights and rights of the elderly through policy and procedure administration.
- Ensure the accuracy of public information, materials and activities.
- Promote the development of relationship and contractual agreements with third party payers, other vendors and the business community.
- Implement an effective budgeting and account system.
- Review needed policies annually as needed.
