The Administrator works alongside the Technical Manager to provide technical expertise in the areas of software deployment, the software build system, the testing virtual environment (vmbuild system) and software configuration system (post-build, system catalogue, server configuration and deployment). The Technical Services Specialist also engages in special projects related to systems architecture, platform operating system certification and the software release process. The position requires skills in software development and systems/network administration.

The Administrator will:

Participate in development of the ‘install project’ which is a software module related to  software deployment and encompasses deployment tools, the system catalogue, etc.

Participate in maintenance of the post-build system

Develop new ways to deploy software and maintain and improve existing methods

Work with the Technical Manager, RD and QA to develop deployment methods for new software modules

Develop new technologies for architecture

Maintain Redhat operating system and installation yum repositories

Participate in the management of the build-repo system and vsphere system (virtual environment)

Execute building of deployment test farms

Participate in any deployment, software build/release or architecture-related projects

Participate in any other projects deemed necessary by the organization
