Admission Services Manage, Admission Services Associate Job in Galesburg, Illinois US

Knox College seeks applications for two positions to provide support services within the Office of Admission.

Admission Services Manager
Provides and manages date entry, electronic record maintenance, word processing, print and electronic mailing., and other support services. This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Director of Admission Services.
Responsibilities: Manages the data entry and mailing productions activities of admission services staff; serves as a team leader to train, supervise, and coordinate three Admission Service Associates, twenty-five students, and seasonal temporary staff; coordinates the production of over 175 print mailings annually totaling more than 300,000 pieces, including data entry (by keyboard or electronic import processes), mailing list management, bulk mail processing, printing, and assembly; operates computers and printers on multiple platforms for use in word processing, mail processing, data input and output, and electronic communication; and assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new or updated software and processes.
Qualifications: Associate's degree and 3-5 years project management and staff supervision in a technology-driven office required. Bachelor's degree preferred; ability to organize and prioritize work, manage multiple projects and people, and work independently; proficient knowledge of database, word processing, email, and spreadsheet software; excellent written and oral communication skills, and professional interpersonal skills.

Admission Service Associate
Provides data entry, electronic record maintenance, word processing, print and electronic mailings, and other support service within the Office of Admission. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week and reporting to the Admission Service Manager.
Responsibilities: Provides support services for the student recruitment program, including use of word processing and database systems (Jenzabar, Excel, Access, Filemaker) to produce letters and mailings; entry of data, both through keyboarding and importing of data files; maintenance of paper and electronic records, supervising student employees; fulfillment of requests for information; and dissemination of information via the phone, email, and internet-based communications tools.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred; three years of relevant work experience; strong aptitude and extensive experience using computers and common software applications including Word, WordPerfect, Excel, FileMaker; exceptional keyboarding abilities with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail; strong interpersonal communication skills and a desire to work collaboratively with staff; and ability to multi-task and focus in a busy work environment.
