NATIONAL UNIVERSITY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY POSITION: Temporary Admissions Advisor/Outreach LOCATION: National University-Fresno NOTE: Position is 40 hours/week with no benefits but has the potential to roll into permanent employment with benefits. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide professional admission, academic and career advisement to prospective and current students while maintaining a solid functional base of all programs, policies, procedures, and practices in the comprehensive process of effectively recruiting, servicing and retaining a viable student body. Selected candidate will also serve in an outreach capacity to local community colleges and area schools and organizations. Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Must maintain a professional demeanor, possess high level of ethics, and have the ability to take direction well and work as a team player. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or nearly completed degree in related field including: academic counseling, human behavior, social work, marketing, management, business or communications required. QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer one year successful experience in recruiting, advising and servicing adults in an educational setting with a minimum of two years professional experience required in marketing, counseling, customer service, including extensive telephone contact and interviewing.
