Admissions Representative
Are you are a high-energy individual, seeking to advance your career as a professional salesperson? We are looking for Admissions Representative to join our team. You will be provided with a lead database and responsible for contacting prospective students for Global Information Technology.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to meet sales goals, articulate, excellent communication and phone skills, and enjoy an environment where you will be both challenged and rewarded. Position will require a minimum of 300 calls and approximately 15 appointments made per week. Moreover, candidate must have high energy and a drive to succeed. This is NOT a rotating-door telemarketing position. We hire only select individuals who demonstrate a commitment to success, strong motivation, and a record of reliability. Must not be afraid of closing the sale!!!!
As an Education Advisor, you will be responsible for helping students realize their career goals. Your new career will involve heavy telephone sales, assisting students with enrollment processes, interviewing in person and by phone, and creative problem solving. If you have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals, a strong drive to help others succeed, and if you can multi-task with exceptional customer service skills, we want to meet you.
Job Description:
1. Analyze qualifications of prospective students utilizing established admissions standards, guidelines and criteria, reviewing unusual circumstances with supervisor as appropriate.
2. Correspond with prospective students, applicants, and others seeking information on admissions standards.
3. Responsible for recruiting prospective students, conduct student tours, assist students in completing financial aid paperwork, etc. Will also evaluate and interview prospective students, learn become knowledgeable w/each Global Information Technology certification program in detail, and schedule appointments.
4. Attend job fair type events and represent Global Information Technology as a training institution by providing program information as necessary.
5. Will be on the phone 50-75% of day making outbound calls, recruiting prospective students and must be able to work efficiently unsupervised.
6. Must be reliable and outgoing, a go-getter with a good work ethic.
7. Provides guidance throughout the admissions process.
Skills:
- Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, preferably, experience with contact databases, i.e., ACT or GoldMine preferred.
- Effective written and oral sales skills are essential.
- Must have previous sales or customer service/phone experience
- Good phone skills and verbal communication skills.
- Previous admissions or education sales experience preferred.
- Must possess superb people and presentation skills.
Candidate needs be a team player. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to Marketing Manager.
Education: Bachelors of Arts/Science Preferred (not required), minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in related field.
Salary: Base Salary is commensurate with verified qualifications plus bonuses.
