The development and implementation lead is responsible for correctly translating the Solution Architect's WCM design into the optimal CQ5 solution, and leading their deployment team by example. This individual ensures development follows best practice, and is mindful of the wider solution framework into which CQ5 is deployed. They draw on their deployment experience to alert the Solution Architect to potential implementation issues, providing suggested solutions.
The successful applicants will be become key members of the team, and will have important roles to play across a number of key areas:
- Pre-sales assistance - Able to configure and demonstrate PoC solutions to prospective clients knowledgeably, inspiring confidence in Logica, the team and the solution.
- Sales and bid activities - Supports the proposal team with validation of design and estimates, supporting completion of proposals including planning and estimating, attending and client meetings and presenting to clients.
- Project implementation activites - Leads the CQ5 development/implementation team with minimum supervision, demonstrating a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach.
- Hand-ons delivery - We require our team to be flexible and adaptable, and the new members will be expected to demonstrate their ability to implement technically challenging solutions.
- Best practice: Contributing to our overall methodology and approach by providing feedback on best practices and real-world experience from the projects we undertake.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and experience:
General experience:
- At least 5 years experience in the design and implementation of WCM solutions including experience with HTML, CSS and DHTML
- At least three years' demonstrable team leading experience
- Experience of different project methodologies, including Waterfall, RAD, Agile
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the ECM market
- Ability to transform the requirements into functional and technical design and effectively communicate with the stake holder
Specific experience in Adobe CQ5:
- Demonstrable implementation experience of three or more medium to large scale CQ5 delivery projects
- Expertise in CQ dynamic publishing, CQ content management features, author roles and responsibilities, Workflow, Forms, Campaigns, Newsletters, Reports, Mobile pages
- Strong knowledge and experience with JavaScript in the client side environment
- Strong knowledge and experience with Java Server Pages (JSP)
- Advanced knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (Java preferred)
- Knowledge of open standards (e.g. XML, LDAP)
From a personal perspective, the successful candidate must have/be:
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Sales and bid experience, including pre-sales, bid support on web content solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, able to communicate technical ideas, approaches and issues to technical and non-technical resources
- Excellent written communication skills, able to prepare and deliver high quality material to support presentations, proposals, and technical project documentation
- Good people management skills, with the ability to manage and delegate effectively
- Currently security cleared, or capable of being cleared to SC level
- Fully mobile in the UK, including UK driving licence
Desirable skills:
Additional desirable skills that would be advantageous to have are:
- Adobe CRX, Omniture Digital Marketing Suite experience (SiteCatalyst, TestTarget, Insight, SocialAnalytics, Genesis)
- Multi-channel user experience design
- Active participation in WCM forums and good working relationships with WCM and CQ5 experts
- Project management expertise and qualifications would be a bonus
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and processes like RUP and XP and excellent understanding and proven use of Design Patterns
- A fast learner - there is a frequent need to build capability in new technology areas and any new joiner needs to be able to demonstrate the ability to assimilate new technology or subject areas quickly and efficiently
