Advanced Development/Rapid Prototype Technician
Position Description Perform various production and development operations with advanced composite or non-metallic materials and structures. Requires interpreting engineering model-based definitions/drawings, instructions, sketches, schematics, specifications, procedures, fabrication and assembly orders, mini work orders, diagrams and verbal information to plan methods and procedures using shop theory or accepted shop practice to fabricate, assemble, install, fasten, troubleshoot or modify materials and structures. Perform such typical operations as lay out, establishing dimensions to exacting tolerances without the aid of production tooling, lay up, molding, mixing, bagging, curing, bonding, drilling, autoclave, machining, stitching, cutting, vacuum forming, fitting, hand finishing, painting and self inspection.
