Advanced Materials - Team Leader
Job Description We have a new and exciting opportunity available for a Team Leader of our Advanced Materials group. In this role you will grow, deliver and manage the Advanced Materials business in the Southern Queensland (SQ) region. You will develop the SQ Advanced Materials business strategy in close collaboration with your regional and national colleagues. A preliminary strategy has been developed; however, you will be required to develop the strategy further in the context of SQ. You will be required to manage the current Advanced Materials team and grow the business in response to market conditions. You will also develop and manage the business on the ground in this region. Key responsibilities of the role: - Grow the Advanced Materials business by developing and implementing a business strategy/plan - Identify key clients and build relationships with them to provide continuity of business opportunities - Manage resources, operational matters, project delivery management, and client relationships - Prioritise opportunities, take part in bid development and to either be or determine PM /or PD's for projects - Put recommendations to the leadership team for strategic direction, industry involvement and issues resolution - Raise profile of AECOM Advanced Materials services - internally and externally - Integrate Advanced Materials Strategic Asset Management business Skills and Qualifications required: - Bachelor or higher degree in materials/civil engineering related field would be preferred - Successful track record or proven ability of fostering close client relationships - Excellent experience in delivering and managing materials related projects - Strong skills in writing and reviewing reports / proposals - Appetite for developing a business in the materials field - A sound understanding of corrosion and materials degradation mechanisms - Ability to communicate a high level of technical detail to a range of audiences - Proven people management and leadership skills We are looking for a passionate and energetic leader who has a strong appetite for growing this already successful business.
