  Responsibilities • Design and specify fault detection solutions based on data analysis and prediction modeling for critical manufacturing processes. Strong mathematical background in statistical methods and process control algorithms.
• Design and specify run-to-run (R2R) control solutions based on data analysis and prediction modeling.
• Develop requirements specifications with process engineering, manufacturing and other HitachiGST sites for host integration of process tooling, APC systems and parametric databases. Develop software  interface with process equipments for process specific applications using proprietary programming language
• Coordinate APC projects in close collaboration with process engineers, IT experts, and external software and equipment suppliers for timely implementation, testing and documentation of production APC solutions.
• Maintain and enhance deployed APC solutions, provide training to engineering and manufacturing team members. Provide APC Application Administration
• This position requires project leadership and an ability to work with cross-functional and cross-site teams.

  Qualifications Education:

• BS MS in Industrial, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
• Advanced training in Six Sigma practices and Statistical techniques. (preferred)
• Good understanding of Information Technology infrastructure and systems (networking, server/client, databases, software development and life cycle management), Process Development and Characterization.

Competency:

• Software Applications: SAS Institute JMP, Rudolph Technologies ProcessWORKS, Artist and Autoshell.  Microsoft Office, Project, Visio., Labview
• Operating Systems: Windows XP/2000/NT/DOS, Linux (Redhat SUSE Enterprise), UNIX
• Experience using relational databases (Oracle 10G, IBM DB2) and writing SQL queries with QMF and configuring DB connections
• Experience with Network hardware and protocols (TCP/IP)
• Statistical Methods: Regression Analysis, Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Optimization, Adaptive Tuners and Multivariate Analysis.
