Advanced Technologies Developer – Hedge Fund – Boston recruitment
The creation of this team happened because this fund wants to keep as close to the cutting edge of technology as they can. They are committed and invest in providing the best technology solutions to support the investment teams.
This role will look at the different technology stacks in use across the entire business and suggest enhancements and refinements as well as prototyping and developing new ones. In order to do this, the right candidate will be well versed in the newest techniques and methodologies and be right up to date with their skills.
It is a very collaborative group who work very well as a team. Ideas are discussed, debated and trialled and the results are attributed to the team as a whole. You will also need to be able to communicated the complex and very specific ideas to people from the business side who are not technology focused frequently, that means strong verbal communication skills and analytic abilities are a must for this role.
The role:
Prototype, productionize, and support new technology frameworks.
Assist in the development of a platform to allow for easier systems integration.
Identify inefficient or problematic processes within the organization and proposedevelop solutions using varied technologies.
Skills required:
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Varied and enhanced object oriented programming concepts
Vast experience and knowledge of distributed systems
At least 5 years of Java/C# programming
Experience of working in a trading/investments environment would be a plus but is not essential.
