Advertising Sales Account Executive Job in Chicago, Illinois US

Looking for a  strong candidate for the role of Advertising Sales Account Executive should be a creative, high achieving individual with strong, results-oriented business savvy.

The Advertising Sales Account Executive will take the lead in building relationships with key advertisers and agencies. Initially this is a hands-on individual contributor sales role. You should have strong established relationships in the online advertising industry and be comfortable in closing deals with a passion and sense of urgency.

Responsibilities include:

 - Creating and expanding business opportunities with agencies seeking advertising in online video through CPM.

- Work collaboratively with agency media buyers to develop innovative video advertising opportunities

- Work with top online advertisers to explore new ways of advertising in the video context

- Supervise proper delivery of advertising campaigns in accordance with goals and objectives.

- Managing a Quarterly Budget while carrying a personal quota

- Forecasting revenue opportunities and managing a detailed book of business.

Requirements:

-  Established trusted partner relationships within the top interactive ad agencies

- Established trusted partner relationships within online advertisers.

- 1-3 years experience in television / video advertising sales preferred, and experience in interactive ad sales is required.

- Have a deep understanding of advertising in the video context both online and television

- Great wealth of knowledge about the online advertising industry.

- Ability to analyze marketing demographics, Media Buying, Agency dynamics and client ROI.

- The ability to think outside the box as well as strong negotiating skills.

- Proven negotiating skills leading to profitable relationships within the industry.

- Must be energetic, driven, a problem solver, and most importantly, a goal-oriented individual.

- Ability to think quickly and effectively manage a sales cycle from qualification, needs assessment, through close is key.

- Familiarity with ad serving, reporting and analytics tools is required. (DFP, OAS, WebTrends, etc.)

- Familiarity with ratings systems is required. (Nielsen NetRatings, comScore MediaMetrix, etc.)

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, start-up environment.
