Adviser Assistant – Adelaide recruitment
The Banking Financial Services Group (BFS) manages Macquarie's retail operations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe. Products and services include comprehensive wealth management advice, stockbroking, investment products, cash management, residential and commercial mortgages, investment lending, personal loans, credit cards and relationship banking.
Within BFS, Macquarie Private Wealth (MPW), provides comprehensive advice to Macquarie's retail clients in Australia and New Zealand. Services include strategic financial planning and stockbroking. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self driven and experienced Adviser Assistant to provide high quality support to 3 Financial Advisers and their clients at our Adelaide office on a 12 month contract.
As an Adviser Assistant your key responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following duties:
- A range of administrative duties to support the advisers
- Proactively following up the advisers in relation to client requirements
- First point of contact for clients phone calls, emails and correspondence;
- Supporting clients with new applications, procedures, systems and initiatives;
- Undertaking floats and new issues processes as directed
- Liaising with accountants, insurers, SMSFs and other third parties.
- Establishing and maintaining client files including assisting with annual client reviews and compliance documentation.
Key attributes for the role:
- A strong administrative background with experience in a similar client centric role ideally within a stockbroking or financial planning firm.
- An interest and understanding of the financial services industry ideally with relevant tertiary and/or industry studies;
- You take pride in your work, ensuring all tasks are completed in an efficient and accurate manner;
- Thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment that values attention to detail and a flexible, hardworking approach;
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Be able to problem solve and prioritise, often in high pressure situations.
