General Summary: -Provide technical and/or business consultative leadership during the pre-sales, pursuit/capture of government program business and/or post sales cycles that are aligned with EMC Federal?s top program priorities. - Drives program technical and technology governance that addresses customer mission, information technology and solution requirements. -Assist in program reviews with Business Development and Program Management through a capture program review process. -Manages technical parallel projects where EMC Federal is pursuing large complex business that combine the delivery of software, hardware, and services to sell EMC core products. -Drive program technology and solution structure to address EMC business priorities. -Plan, organize, direct approved engineering / technical resources in relation to both individual efforts and product delivery based on top program priorities. -Ensure the work effort achieves the outcome specified within the program and IT strategies. -Role includes focus on technical/solution integration activities, negotiating changes in plans, and communicating key message and results on periodic basis to key stakeholders. Responsibilities include: -Contributes to the development of strategies, policies and best practices through participation in management and customer meetings. -Works closely with customers to develop and cultivate ?trusted advisor? role and relationships. -Adheres to proper escalation and change control procedures. -Prepares and maintains activity/progress reports for stake holder reviews. -Maintains awareness of existing or potential customer software/hardware environments. -Proactively alerts Business Development and Program Management of potential problems based on strong working knowledge of software/hardware environments. -Stays current on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements of EMC and industry through professional associations, trade journals, networking and associated training and seminars. -Acts as the communications conduit to technical sponsors and program steering committee and conducts periodic briefing/status updates. -Works closely with Business Development, Program Management, Technical Consultants, Technical Consultant Managers and Sales Account Executives and Sales Management. -Works closely with EMC Federal Partners and 3 rd party companies in reference to EMC Federal priority programs. -Own and oversee the development of the program?s notional architecture and associated technology and products. -Takes sales and technical strategy and executes it into the RFP/Contract response. -Identify areas of risk/opportunity and influences and implements continuous improvements. -Leads the implementation of the solution for program influence and RFI/RFP responses. -Participates as a technical expert in the pre-sales qualification and is responsible for the delivery of technical architecture design, strategies and plans that will be delivered for top EMC Federal programs. -Develops and articulates solutions based on a customer?s strategic business or technical requirements. -Work with multiple business units (internal/external) as needed. -Ability to assist with program orals as required. -Performs additional duties as required. -Prerequisites: -Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong technology expertise and strategic agility. Ability to partner across organizations (internal and external). -Strong product/technology/industry knowledge. Analytical ability. Proficiency in hardware/software and storage architectures/solutions. -10+ years of experience required within IT industry supporting Federal Government business. -Past performance on large complex programs where technical architecture design, strategies and plans was major contribution to winning the business. -Bachelors degree in specific discipline plus 10 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training. -TS clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
