Salary: £15,170.00 - £17,800.00 plus annual bonus

HomeLet is the market leader in providing services and insurance products to the let property industry. To facilitate sales of insurance, HomeLet is part of the Barbon Insurance Group who are Directly Authorised by the Financial Services Authority and appoints some letting agents as its representatives. HomeLet has a responsibility to ensure that due diligence is undertaken on its representatives on joining and to monitor them throughout their tenure, minimising risk faced by policy holder customers and the business. This ensures that all policy holders are treated fairly and that HomeLet letting agents and HomeLet itself operate within the regulators guidelines.
The Agent Monitoring Team facilitates the management of Compliance and Risk across the HomeLet business unit. The Agent Monitoring Administrator role is responsible for ensuring that all new letting agent customers comply with the agreed standards for HomeLet and for the continued maintenance of letting agents through regular monitoring and review of their procedures and activities.
Duties include:
- Conduct assessments on new Letting Agent customers in order to ensure that they meet the required standards to become a HomeLet customer.
- Conduct regular monitoring activity on HomeLet’s Letting Agent customers in order to assess adherence to FSA Rules and other regulations.
- Conduct regular desk based monitoring in order to assess adherence by agents to FSA Rules and other regulations, procedures and internal controls.
- Ensure that issues identified from monitoring activities are clearly documented in action plans and addressed in a timely manner, following the correct procedure.
- Maintenance of agents records including FSA standing data, training records and financial stability information.
- Escalate to management all material breaches and incidents, potential incidents and other compliance issues of significance identified day to day.
- Maintain an effective relationship with staff within Barbon and HomeLet businesses, assisting them to comply with the relevant regulations.
- Deal with telephone queries from HomeLet’s letting agent customers.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and awareness of regulatory and risk related matters and contribute to all compliance / risk initiatives which impact on the business unit.
- Respond to external and internal FSA queries
Required experience:
- MS Office intermediate for Word
- MS Office intermediate for Excel
- Good GCSE grades or equivalent qualification in English and Maths
- Able to demonstrate awareness of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Ability to demonstrate delivery against targets
