Agile Project Manager – Finance
For this Investment Banking Giant we are looking for a Finance Change - Agile Project Manager. The Finance department covers Financial Control, Product Control and Financial Decision Support globally across the bank. The department plays a fundamental role in supporting the firm’s business areas by providing high-quality reporting and accounting services.
The Finance Change function focuses on business driven, strategic and tactical change initiatives and provides Project Managers and Business Analysts accountable for end to end delivery of global projects across the bank.
Main Function
Standard MI project is a group-wide initiative to deliver a standard MI tool on desktop and iPad that will facilitate Senior Executive dialogue on month end business performance by providing a ‘single version of truth’ for core financials produced in a simplified and automated process
- Standardised monthly business reporting packs
- Provide intuitive navigation/drilldown capability on desktop and iPad
- Allow ‘lift and drop’ of key pages into powerpoint and/or pdf
The role is for a Project Manager to manage the sprint cycles, working with the business and technology, to deliver production releases every 3-4 weeks over the next 6-12 months providing improvements in reports and functionality with each release
Main Duties
- Define and clearly communicate the scope and requirements of each 3-4 week Sprint
- Create and manage each Sprint delivery plan clearly identifying key milestones and dependencies
- Identify and manage all major issues and risks, identifying mitigating actions and impact on final delivery for each of these as they arise.
- Identify/anticipate obstacles and analyse and propose resolutions within tight timelines
- Manage deliverables on plan to agreed release dates
- Senior stakeholder management with key stakeholders and with end
- Regular status reporting ensuring clear and consistent updates are provided on overall project status Work closely with development team on daily basis to manage progress against plan
