As such, we are seeking a talented Agile Project Manager to work within the Technology team to project manage new developments across our group websites. This is a great role for someone who wants to be involved during a critical stage in the development of our retail channels.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
The Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master will work within the Tech Development team and liaise with all areas of Net-a-Porter to efficiently facilitate the delivery of new and updated functionality for Net-a-porter’s websites and back office systems.
Job Purpose:
To uphold the principles of agile/scrum within the technical development team and ensure agile teams are delivering to maximise business value.
The key responsibilities for the Agile Project Manager are:
- Ensure the Scrum team upholds Net-A-Porter’s Agile Manifesto and practices.
- Mobilise the project team to get them in a position where they are able to comfortably start the project from iteration zero. (Resources, Environments etc)
- Identify and remove impediments for the team, ensure the team is focused on delivery
- Working closely with the BA’s, Strategic Project Managers and Product Owners to create a product roadmap to include all tracks of work not just technical development
- To report product roadmap status to the Programme Office, Technical Development Management and business stakeholders ( as needed)
- To protect the team by making sure they do not over-commit themselves to what they can achieve during iteration.
- To organize and facilitate project meetings as appropriate Eg: iteration planning, daily stand-up meetings, retrospectives, showcases etc.
- Track and communicate team velocity through the use of burn down charts and sprint/release progress updates
- Ensure the scrum team(s) are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
- Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
- Ensure the team has the opportunity to inspect and adapt by reflecting on their previous iterations progress
- Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
- Empower the team to self-organize
- Work with the teams to identify any cross project dependencies and manage these through to completion
- Work with the team to define and deliver release/launch dependencies
- Work with the release manager to ensure deployment notes/changes are added to the release and knowledge is passed from the project stream to release team

Essential Skills Requirements
- Have a passion for agile with experience of the Scrum framework.
- Excellent organisational and facilitation skills
- Significant commercial experience of Agile Project Management experience in a technology-led company required, ideally an e-commerce website.
- A degree in computer science or equivalent commercial experience.
- Excellent level of enthusiasm and expressiveness - necessary to engage with users
- Passionate about championing the customer
- Excellent analytical stills and a good attention to detail.
- Be well organised and have a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communicator
- Great eye for detail and the ability to follow issues through to resolution.
- Good at documentation
- Fluency in Mandarin
- Excellent written and spoken English desired
