Agricultural Engineer
Ag Leader Technology is an innovative company that focuses on custom designed precision agriculture electronics that increase the productivity and profitability of production agricultural to feed our growing world population.
The steering systems engineer position is responsible for further developing and improving upon our products that steer tractors. This includes working with suppliers on new products and features, working with manufacturing engineering to build and test new products, resolve issues that come up, assist technical support staff as needed, determine, design, and document what is needed for system to fit up to vehicle, manage a project to be on-time and on budget, while working with all members of Ag Leader organization including executive management.
Analyze technical methods of meeting GPS and guidance systems requirements to meet the needs of our customers.
- Manage the release of new GPS based systems.
- Environmental testing and validation of new components and systems.
- Develop kits to adapt electronic systems to existing agricultural equipment.
- Support enhancements and changes to existing systems
Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- 2+ years experience working in a related engineering field.
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Basic design and drafting skills
- Familiarity with Production Agriculture Industry and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers
- Ability to solve problems effectively with minimal supervision
